Accessibility Statement

Music should reach everyone, and so should writing about music. This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Keyboard first

Every interactive element — navigation, carousel, spectrum explorer, timeline, forms, and copy buttons — is reachable and operable by keyboard with visible focus rings.

Reduced motion

Scroll reveals, the hero waveform, and timeline transitions respect the operating system's reduce-motion setting and become static.

Contrast and type

Both the ivory and midnight themes are built to meet at least WCAG AA contrast for body text, and text scales with your browser's font size.

Structure and labels

Pages use one H1, semantic landmarks, descriptive link text, labelled form fields, alt text on images, and live regions to announce copy and share results.

Touch targets

The layout is mobile-first, with comfortable touch targets and swipe controls that always have button and keyboard equivalents.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is treated as unfinished. If something blocks you, that is a defect worth fixing.

Report a barrier

Email press@promposingmusic.com with the page and what happened, and it will be treated as a bug.
